This height safety equipment inspection course provides the foundational skills required to inspect height safety equipment in line with industry standards. Participants gain practical experience identifying damage, faults, modifications, and missing components, and conducting inspections and testing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and AS/NZS 1891.4.

Delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909), the course also covers interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS), safe cleaning practices, environmental considerations, and correct storage of equipment. Successful completion confirms training in inspection procedures; however, competence to inspect equipment requires a combination of training, qualification, and practical experience as defined under AS/NZS 1891.4. The responsibility for determining an individual’s competency rests with the workplace or PCBU.
